Robust.AI partners with Foxconn to boost warehouse robotics scale-up

Robust.AI, which specialises in AI-powered automation for warehouse environments, has partnered with Hon Hai Technology Group, better known as Foxconn, to boost production of its Carter collaborative robotics system.

The partnership will allow Robust.AI to meet a growing international demand. Foxconn, an electronics manufacturing services provider, will  scale-up Carter, the Robust.AI’s flagship robotics platform.

Carter is designed as a drop-in solution that integrates with existing warehouse infrastructure, aiming to support both operational efficiency and the human workforce.

The platform offers a blend of physical automation and digital intelligence to address challenges faced by logistics and manufacturing firms.

Anthony Jules, CEO of Robust.AI, said: “As shifting supply chains and international tariffs add complexity and costs to global logistics operations, our strategic manufacturing partnership with Foxconn will enable us to rapidly fulfil orders for Carter robots, which are delivering improved productivity and efficiency to some of the world’s largest logistics and manufacturing companies.”

Robust.AI: Advancing Collaborative Warehouse Robotics

  • Carter™ Platform Enhancements: In April 2025, Robust.AI expanded its Carter™ platform, transforming it into a multi-functional solution capable of fulfillment picking, point-to-point transport, and mobile sorting—all within a single software-defined system. This upgrade allows for streamlined operations and adaptability without additional hardware investments. DHL Supply Chain Partnership: Robust.AI partnered with DHL Supply Chain to deploy Carter robots across multiple warehouse locations. A recent deployment in Las Vegas resulted in over 60% productivity gains in picking operations on the first day.

  • Recognition by World Economic Forum: In June 2024, Robust.AI was selected as a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum, acknowledging its innovative approach to human-robot collaboration in warehouse environments.

Foxconn: Scaling Intelligent Manufacturing with Robotics

  • Collaboration with NVIDIA: Foxconn is working with NVIDIA to build AI factories utilizing the NVIDIA Omniverse platform. This initiative aims to create digital twins for planning and simulating automated production lines, enhancing manufacturing processes and supply chain management.

  • Partnership with UBTECH: Foxconn has established a strategic partnership with UBTECH Robotics to integrate humanoid robots into its manufacturing processes. The collaboration focuses on tasks such as handling, sorting, gluing, and quality inspection, aiming to improve efficiency and worker safety. Development of Swarm Autonomy Solution: Through its joint venture FARobot, Foxconn introduced the "Swarm Autonomy" solution, a robotic management platform that enables efficient operations by allowing cross-brand robot integration and dynamic task scheduling.
